MPN/MPNr-EuroNet First Workshop
Background
Participants to the MPN&MPNr-EuroNet first workshop will have the opportunity to hear from the best researchers in the field about the newest developments in the molecular diagnosis of MPN and related diseases.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their own work and original diagnostic assays, and exchange with colleagues on the newest genes and techniques of interest in the field of MPN, congenital erythrocytosis and hereditary thrombo-cythemia.
By joining one of MPN&MPNr-EuroNet working groups, they will be able to contribute actively, productively and durably -for at least 4 years- in innovation, optimization and standardization of the biological diagnosis of MPN and related diseases in Europe.

Posters
Participants are also encouraged to prepare a poster, using the poster template provided. Click on the following link to get the poster template.
The organizers of the MPN&MPNr-EuroNet workshop have arranged so that the first 50 posters received can be printed in Nantes free of charge to the participants. For best printing results, posters should be prepared using figures and images of the highest resolution. They should be sent as attached Power Point files at Mrs Elodie Hervio. Click on the following link to send a mail to Elodie Hervio. Deadline for submission is March 25, 2010.
Abstract Submission
Participants are encouraged to submit an abstract reflecting the activity of their laboratory or clinic in relation to the diagnosis of MPN and MPN-related congenital diseases. All abstracts will be put together in an Abstract Book that will be distributed to participants during the MPN&MPNr-EuroNet workshop. Abstracts should be composed as follows:
- Title
- Names of co-authors
- Institutions and addresses
- E-mail address of corresponding author
- Text (less than 300 words).
Deadline for submission is March 25, 2010.
In order to submit an abstract, participants should first be registered, then, being logged in, choose Abstract in the menu bar on Registration page.
Scholarships
MPN&MPN-EuroNet will be able to offer scholarships to early state researchers, ESR : biologists or clinicians who received their MD or PhD degree less than 10 years ago. To apply for a scholarship, ESR must submit an abstract and poster, and send a letter of motivation and their curriculum vitae to Mrs Elodie Hervio. Click on the following link to send a mail to Elodie Hervio. Applicants will be informed of the decision regarding attribution of scholarship via E-mail before March 31st, 2010.
The deadline for application to a scholarship is March 25, 2010.
Reimbursements
COST Members, Substitute members and Scholarship recipients will be advised personnaly and reimbursed for their travel and lodging expanses, after registration in e-COST.
Last, we wished to apologize for the late opening of the registration web site.
Long delayed access to COST and university funds is the reason for the very short time between the opening of registration and submission of abstracts, posters and scholarship applications.
